Climbing Physiotherapy
Get treated by a climber.
At Headspace one of our main reasons to open was to provide a clinic for Climbers to get Physiotherapy from someone who knows the sport and also participates in it. Kolbi has been a climber for over 15 years and prior to that was a competitive dancer. Kolbi has previously worked as a physio Climb NZ and was a route setter in Auckland for a few years before relocating to Christchurch. She has studied climbing extensively and worked with many climbers from youth to adults at all different abilities. With a degree in Kinesiology and previous work as a personal trainer, Headspace differs in being able to provide thorough exercise management advice along with up to date Physiotherapy treatments to avoid overuse injuries and manage any niggles.
Headspace Physiotherapy donates part of the profits from the clinic to ACAT monthly.

How we Treat
To provide climbers with thorough and specific treatment, our clinic offers assessments in clinic using devices including a Tindeq, hang board, and various lattice training devices. Headspace can review climbing technique by videos of the climber or offers on the wall assessments at the local gym to assess technique and risk factors while on the wall.
